We’ve started development on an exiting new android app! To give you a hint about what it’s all about: how would you like an app that could tell the future?

I’ve begun (more like, restarted) development on something I call “PACKshare”. I felt there needed to be a simple tool to help people search for, donate to, and track their favorite charities and causes. PACK stands for “Patronage, Altruism, Charity, and Kindness” – just some of the reasons people give organizations money.

The app is not limited to standard charities. ANY organization that is registered with the government to accept tax-exempt donations can be added. This means political organizations, charities, or anything else that you wish to support!

I’ve updated the IVC code to ditch Adobe Air completely and go with pure native code goodness! So performance is much improved, and the UI is redone. I’ve also updated the calculation to take into account the new AAA corporate bond rates since IVC was first released. Enjoy!

I’ve had to move hosts, so I’m still making sure everything is stable. Bear with me for a bit and we’ll get the bugs worked out (mostly). We may need to move again at some point in the near future (growing pains can suck sometimes).

I’ve been doing this calculation in a spreadsheet until now. I wanted to share this with the world as it has never let me down yet, so I built an Android app that does the lookups and calculations automagically! You can check it out in the Android Market here:

OSC has just begun development of our new game: “Net Nubian”!

Net Nubian is a cyberpunk strategy game in which you earn Kred from your “Mr. Smith” by hacking net hosts, avoiding or destroying Intrusion Countermeasures and retrieving valuable data.

Stay tuned for details on the development effort and release dates. We expect NN to be roughly ready for testing within a month or two and should be release to Kongregate shortly after that.

Development has begun on another new game! Co-written by Celeste Brill, “Circle of Life” guides young players through life-and-death choices for animals choosing paths leading them past dangerous predators. Stay tuned for updates and developments!
